Great pictures! This is THE film that made me interested in movies, and I still absolutely love it. Is there really anything else quite like it?

Thanks, Jeffrey. The funny thing is this is far from my favorite Godard ... yet I'll admit I keep returning to it as it leaves me intrigued afterwards. I feel more distanced from it than from, say, Masculin Feminin, Alphaville, Band of Outsiders, La Chinoise, or Weekend, which are all among favorites. Even a weirdo picture like Le Gai Savoir hits me more directly.

And no, there isn't much else quite like it!

Thanks, MovieMan! It's probably my favorite Godard. But the others, for me, that give it a close running are CONTEMPT, BREATHLESS, and MY LIFE TO LIVE. But, on any given day, throw on any of them, including all the ones you mention, and I'm a very happy man.

Bad news: looks like Pierrot le fou is one of the Criterions going out of print in a couple months. And it was such a recent addition too!
