At some point I should probably do a series covering acclaimed and/or popular films from the past decade that I haven't seen yet (as I did around 2010 for the 2000s). But it probably wouldn't be for a while because right now I am focusing on three big Twin Peaks projects that have been in my backlog forever and need to finally get completed.Joel Bockohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11238338958380683893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7610074516299275060.post-83417283915571655892022-03-06T16:33:43.512-05:002022-03-06T16:33:43.512-05:00new films?new films?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7610074516299275060.post-24862921196599264722021-11-01T09:48:59.817-04:002021-11-01T09:48:59.817-04:00The Clone Wars - but it seems unlikely I will actu...The Clone Wars - but it seems unlikely I will actually do that series at this point with so many other things going on. The next viewing diary I'll pick up will probably be either The Wire or Breaking Bad. 2022 is the 20th anniversary of The Wire's first season and 2023 is the 10th anniversary of Breaking Bad's last season so maybe around then (given how busy 2022 is shaping up to be, it may be closer to the Breaking Bad anniversary when I have a real chance).Joel Bockohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11238338958380683893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7610074516299275060.post-47539080912811557302021-06-25T16:24:46.569-04:002021-06-25T16:24:46.569-04:00year's slots?year's slots?AndrewJohnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03996824366245360657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7610074516299275060.post-70206300639396079682021-06-25T14:52:26.950-04:002021-06-25T14:52:26.950-04:00Star Wars?Star Wars?AndrewJohnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03996824366245360657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7610074516299275060.post-75398236714947992912010-03-21T10:53:00.066-04:002010-03-21T10:53:00.066-04:00Wow, look at all those exclamation points. As it is, I don't want to see contemporary reviews overwhelmed by miscellaney, or an in-depth post at Dancing Image interrupted by a series of reviews, or a long-term series bogged down in various announcements. It's weird: for some reason, I usually want to watch Netflix right away but settling down for a DVR film seems like a chore: even if it's the same film in either case! Maybe I partly resent the pressure of watching before things get too crowded (the Comcast DVRs suck, by the way. I had Time Warner in New York and you can sort the DVR queues whereas Comcast leaves them fixed in the order you recorded them in: the only distinction that can be made is between "save until deleted" or "save until space needed". Also, they chop up recordings into little bits, which is what actually caused my meltdown the other day: thousands and thousands of no-picture "recordings" of Tiger Shark which, by the way, shouldn't have recorded at all if there really wasn't space, given that it was not a first-priority recording.)MovieMan0283https://www.blogger.com/profile/11238338958380683893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7610074516299275060.post-48767699331468656002010-01-26T04:28:35.820-05:002010-01-26T04:28:35.820-05:00Oh, and Comcast sucks.
