Not just a wonderful visual tribute, this is an amazing tribute to Rocky. Though it might not make the cut for the best film (in my opinion), Rocky still manages to induce a lot of nostalgia irrespective of how many times I see it. And the scene that you've chosen to eulogise here, well, that sure has transcended cinema and has become a part of pop culture.
Yep, my pick for '76 would be Taxi Driver but I've a warm spot for Rocky, and people forget that for all its uplift it has a grimly realistic undertone too (for one thing, spoiler alert, he doesn't win!). Which only makes the uplift all the more effective of course.
Incidentally when I ran up the Rocky steps I made it all the way to the very top, unlike Mr. Balboa. What a wimp! :)
This is without a doubt my favorite visual tribute that I've seen out of you so far, I love the brief focus of a small Rocky rising to the top with the view widening each step... plus the movement from left to right is really kinetic for a photography piece...
Thanks, I had fun creating this too. I would like to do more like this - not just picking caps, but playing with them as well. However, it ends up being pretty time-consuming! That said, I did a similar thing with my Gay Divorcee post a year or so back, for the Wonders musical countdown...
