Lost in the Movies is a hub of film reviews, video essays, viewing diaries, podcasts, and other material focused on film and television, with particular (but far from exclusive) emphasis on Twin Peaks. All original content is created by writer/filmmaker Joel Bocko.
Lost in the Movies opened its virtual doors as The Dancing Image, an anonymous film review blog, in the summer of 2008. Over the years this site expanded and consolidated, experimenting with new approaches while collecting work created across different platforms. Now visitors are able to explore over a thousand entries through a home page organized by category, a what's-new blogroll, or an archive offering multiple approaches.

Your analysis of Maddy is the most complete, most down to earth, most compassionate and definitely most objective at the same time. Kudos
Thanks, and thanks for finding a way to leave a comment! I need to fix the commenting system for posts - Disqus added atrocious ads and I haven’t attempted to convert all comments to the old Blogger system yet but I need to. Shouldn’t be hard, just haven’t taken the time to figure out the solution yet.
Dear Joel,
I thank you very very much! Your statements to Mad Men are the best I have found. I watch it meanwhile for the 5Th time, some episodes even more often. And it is so helpful for me to find some things explained. especially when I did not saw that on my own. Mad men is such an art work through and throug (I have a PH.D. in German literature and did lot of literature studies - but this movies is so unbeleavebel rich in everything. You helped me a lot with sharing your opions.
Viola
Thanks, that is great to hear! I really enjoyed watching the show for the first time and having the opportunity to record those first reflections in real time. I am glad that for even for a veteran viewer like yourself, my approach yielded interesting results.
